Launch of the Global Antimicrobial and Use Surveillance System (GLASS) report: antibiotic use data for 2022

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a global health threat, affecting medical procedures and reversing advances in medicine. The inappropriate use of antimicrobials is a major driver of AMR, and resource-limited settings struggle with inadequate access to quality medicines. The WHO integrated the global program on surveillance of AMU into GLASS in 2020, with increasing countries reporting their national AMU data. The webinar will discuss progress, global estimates, stewardship policies, and next steps in WHO AMU monitoring.
